JANUARY 2017 - Janine has taken a temporary break from performing full-time in order to recover from an injury. To keep herself busy, she has participated in a couple short films, one of which will be going to Filmapalooza 2017 in Seattle in March. She is excited to return to acting some time this year and hopes to start auditioning again soon.

After Dinner Life still

OCTOBER 2016 - Janine joined the Ovation Pictures team again in the 3-Day Film Challenge 2016: Horror Edition, part of the San Jose International Short Film Festival, in the short film After Dinner Life.

Teams were assigned a specific sub-genre of horror and a specific prop or character to include in a 3-6 minute short film.

After Dinner Life was assigned the genre of A Ghostly Tale and featured a ringing bell. Check it out!


APRIL 2016 - Janine teamed up again with Ovation Pictures to participate in the San Jose 48 Hour Film Project in the short sci-fi film Stonewood.

The film won a number of awards, including Best Film, Best Actress, Best Musical Score, Best Directing, and the Audience Award. It will go up against films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2017 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2017, Court Métrage.

Last Out still

OCTOBER 2015 - Janine joined the Ovation Pictures team in the 3-Day Film Challenge 2015: Horror Edition, part of the San Jose International Short Film Festival, in the short film Last Out.

Eleven teams were assigned a specific sub-genre of horror, and a specific prop or character to include, in addition to a postcard from the festival, in a 3-6 minute short film.

Last Out was filmed in the style of Hitchcock, and featured a cowboy hat. Check it out!

AUGUST 2015 - Janine participated again in the San Jose 48 Hour Film Project with Ovation Pictures in the short film Stipulations.

The film won Best Musical Score, the Producer's Choice Award, and the Audience Choice Award.

42nd Street Moon Gala

FEBRUARY 2014 - Janine had the honor of attending 42nd Street Moon's Annual Gala benefit, 'What We Did for Love', at Bimbo's 365 Club in San Francisco.

The featured performer of the evening was Broadway and TV star Megan Hilty. It was such a treat to watch her perform! Janine was very happy to be included in this event.


JANUARY 2014 - Janine has been busy auditioning and taking in new shows.

She has also parted ways with her agent and is currently seeking representation for on camera, voiceover, print and fit modeling work.

NOVEMBER - DECEMBER 2013 - Janine is now an official member of Actors' Equity Association!

Snoopy!!! enjoyed a great run at 42nd Street Moon, entertaining both audiences and critics. Janine had a blast playing the silent, sassy 'Woodstock'!


JUNE 2013 - Janine is now an Equity Must Join, which means that she is eligible to join Actors' Equity Association, the professional union of actors and stage managers.

She is proud to announce that she has booked her first Equity contract! This November and December, she will appear as the feisty and feathery 'Woodstock' in Snoopy!!! at 42nd Street Moon.


APRIL - MAY 2013 - Janine completed a successful run of the delightful, hilarious, laugh-a-minute Little Me at 42nd Street Moon, playing THIRTEEN characters in this outrageously funny rags-to-riches musical tale.


  2012   


OCTOBER - NOVEMBER 2012 - Janine enjoyed a very successful run in the West Coast premiere of Carmelina at 42nd Street Moon. She played 'Flo Braddock' and 'Signora Bernardi' in this musical version of the film Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell (which was also the inspiration for the hit musical Mamma Mia!). The show was both an audience and critic favorite!


SEPTEMBER 2012 - Janine had a loverly time performing for one week in SF Playhouse's critically-acclaimed My Fair Lady. As the Female Swing/Understudy, she covered for one of the female ensemble members, playing a multitude of characters, and enjoyed every second of her experience.

Being an understudy always gets the adrenaline going!


AUGUST 2012 - Janine participated again in the San Jose 48 Hour Film Project. Check out her short film, Vestern 2: Another Western, in Janine's Videos.


JUNE 2012 - Janine filmed an industrial for Plantronics!


APRIL - MAY 2012 - Janine had a wonderful time performing in Zorbá at 42nd Street Moon. She played 'Athena', the 'Bellydancer', and 'Young Hortense' in this musical about the celebration of life, lost love, heartbreak and death.

NOVEMBER - DECEMBER 2011 - Janine had the honor of portraying 'Zenida Grundy' and 'Mrs. Wickham' in the American premiere of the musical, Three Sisters, at 42nd Street Moon. She is proud to have been a part of this enchanting and poignant NEA-sponsored restoration of Kern and Hammerstein's lost musical.

AUGUST 2011 - Janine participated in the short film Oh Negative in the San Jose 48 Hour Film Project, earning her first IMDb credit, and the 2011 award for Best Actress.

JUNE - SEPTEMBER 2011 - Janine understudied the role of 'Pisanio' for the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival's production of Cymbeline.

Although she did not get to perform, she is grateful for having had the opportunity to work with such a talented group of individuals.


MARCH - APRIL 2011 - Janine completed a four-week run as the amorously envious 'Andrea' in Once On This Island at the Willows Theatre Company in Concord, CA.


JANUARY 2011 - Janine had a great time both attending and performing at the Shellie Awards, but unfortunately, did not win for Supporting Actress in a Musical. She is still extremely grateful for being nominated and hopes that perhaps other awards may be in her future!

Janine is now represented for on camera, voiceover, print and fit modeling work in San Francisco by Marla Dell Talent Agency. She has finally posted her Acting Reel to her Videos. Please check it out when you get the chance!

Janine has been nominated for a Shellie Award for Supporting Actress in a Musical for her performance as 'Christmas Eve' in Avenue Q at the Willows! The Shellie Awards were founded in 1979 to recognize outstanding achievement in the performing arts in the Central Contra Costa/Diablo Valley region.

OCTOBER 2010 - Janine enjoyed a successful three-week run as the finger cymbal-wielding and undulating 'Tintinabula' in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at 42nd Street Moon in San Francisco, CA.

JUNE - AUGUST 2010 - Janine played 'Christmas Eve' in the national regional premiere of Avenue Q at the Willows Theatre Company in Martinez, CA. The show received rave reviews and publicity, including a bus ad campaign (pictured), and attracted sold-out audiences for its six-week run.

JULY 2009 - Janine played the roles of 'Curtis', 'The Pedant' and 'The Widow' in an all-female production of The Taming of the Shrew with Woman's Will.


APRIL 2009 - Janine completed a successful run of The Great American Trailer Park Musical at the Willows Theatre Company, playing the role of 'Lin'.
